[Win32] Trouble cross-compiling

Hello,

There are some trouble compiling Ekiga trunk since some days. I think it
is the new version of opal and/or ptlib. Last trunk version I can
compile is 462 one (25th of November)

Windows CE support

Built trunk and indeed the pulse plugin works;). I do hear some chirps
now and then, though, but I'll try with some other codecs. I'm running
ekiga connected to freeswitch. I exit audio through JACK from pulse.

There is a pulse (ptlib) plugin, but in trunk only, and there is no
release for trunk at the moment.

Indeed, but is supporting pulseaudio directly a planned feature?. Just
not allowing ekiga to access the ALSA layer directly would also
instantly make it pulseaudio friendly.

ALSA Raw Device Access

Has anything been done with regards to ekiga not accessing the ALSA
device directly?.

Instead of accessing devices like hw:0 directly, it should read the
asound.conf file.

Is there a bug open on this?.

ptlib and opal libraries are developed by another team, please post the
same questions to
opalvoip-user <opalvoip-user@...>

Question time of arrival

I would like to take out the delays for every packet sent, _considering
the presence of jitterbuffer._
My reasoning is the following:

1-Locating the "R_i" time of arrival in the code OpalVoIP.

2- Saving the delay "D_i" values for every packet (D_i = R_i -
RTPtimestamp_i) in a file .csv

My considerations:
1-Studying the file rtp.cxx ,in the function
"RTP_Session::Internal_OnReceiveData(RTP_DataFrame & frame)" I guess I
have found the possible value "R_i" ("PTimeInterval tick =
PTimer::Tick();", line 962).
_Please, let's me know if my intuition is right.

_2- Supposing the my intuition is right, I'm in question about the
meaning of "R_i" value.
I'm not able to understand if "R_i" represent the time of arrival
before or after jitterbuffer?

Start ekiga -d 4, take a line, search the code (opal's and ptlib's too)
for a word in that line, and look how the line is built. The first word
in the line is a timestamp, the timestamp you are looking for, is that
right?

Another idea: search for "PDU received".

I am trying to take out the arrival time of every packets trasmitted
(the so called "R_i" value in RFC 3550, pag.33).
Eventually I would like to save these values in a file .csv.
My problem is that I'm not able to find the file in which is implemented
the call's procedure.
(I studied the file "main.cxx", "rtp.cxx", "jitter.cxx" without solving
the problem).

I lost the output. But before that, I looked into it and it seemed it
really retried the stun, which failed, afterwards it retried sip
registering several times, until it received a response, the Globally
not acceptable. Maybe the solution is to retry stun when the network is
up again, not only before.

Conclusion: I must do a more careful analysis.

I started ekiga one hour ago, when I was in a network where I had a
public IP address.

Now I am at home, where I have a private IP address.

I was surprised to see trunk's ekiga icon changed to an exclamation
mark, with "The following accounts are inactive: ..." as tooltip, this

I'm not sure it's 100% correct : if I understand well, we only emit
"removed" when there is a registration event... and if there is none,
then removing won't work.

The documentation part, which is now in the wiki, will be reworked as
part of the wiki move to drupal. But it is a huge work I will do after
the Ekiga.net move to Drupal. Unfortunately, none of the core team use
Fedora/Red Hat, thus it is very hard for us to document it... If you
want, you can document this part; ask me and i'll grant you access to
the wiki.

Hi,

The site was empty during the past night, it is now back up again (I
moved it...)

I'm using the zen theming engine for drupal. I find it helpful to start
theming.

Ekiga, but that should be separated. Thank you.
Nevertheless, I would like to build the Win32 debug version with the 
same principle code base as the release one. Can we get rid of the 
silent devices in debug and release?

Well, release would require a patch in that case. I would recommend against doing it.
