ElementArray requires length If you try to deserialize an XML file that does
not have the length attribute on an array, you’ll end up with an
ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException. Would it be better to return a more user
friendly exception so it’s easier for the developer/end user to figure

Ya, should really be better than a runtime exception such
as ArrayIndexOutOfBounds. Ill fix this.
