Emacs 21.2.1 with Cygwin ssh issue

Hello,

I am not sure if i am wording my issue correct,

but when I ssh through emacs, and connect to another machine.

I will then try to open a file on this machine  (C-x, C-f)

and the file structure I see is the one thats on MY machine,  not the machine I am currently SSH'd to.

Did I explain this properly?

anyone come across the same issue?
