Embedding JamesIs it possible to run James as an embedded SMTP/POP service? That is, I
want to start it in process via an API call, and not launch it from the command-line .bat file. Thanks, Mike _______________________________________________________________________ Notice: This email message, together with any attachments, may contain information of BEA Systems, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, that may be confidential, proprietary, copyrighted and/or legally privileged, and is intended solely for the use of the individual or entity named in this message. Re: Embedding JamesHi Michael,
Experimental code for running James within a Spring Framework context is available at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/sandbox/spring-integration So theoretically it should be possible to embed James into any Spring-aware application including web apps. But we don't distribute this as a separate release yet. You'd have to build from code. But you are very welcome to give it a try. If you run into problems, please join us on the dev list. I am very eager to hear about your experiences! :-) Thanks, Bernd On 2/26/07, Michael Cico <mcico@...> wrote: > Is it possible to run James as an embedded SMTP/POP service?
