Error in Hello World Tutorial

Hi!

I just started the HelloWorld Tutorial and got stuck in the Xtext Editor. It displays the following error:

Error during linking phase : java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.java.xml.ns.persistence.orm.OrmPackage

I guess some plugin required by Xtext are not installed. I used the openarchitecture ware update site and installed v4.3.1. This worked without any flaws.
Any hints what I need to to to fix that?

Thanks in advance
André

What version of Eclipse are you using? We have only tested with 3.4 Ganymede.

When googling on com.sun.java.xml.ns.persistence.orm.OrmPackage I found some issues with M2T/TMF and this class? M2T and TMF is the next version of openArchitectureWare, which we are not using yet. Have you installed that (or is it included in the eclipse package you are using)? Maybe there is some interference between that and openArchitectureWare 4.3.1

Hi Patrik

thanks for answering!
Yes, that's probably the direction to dig for. I deliberately used 3.5 (and didn't remember your tuto says use 3.4). I used a fresh modelling distro and I see that Xext (TMF) packages and Xpand/Xtend bundles are installed. This is most likely the reason. I have to admit that I have no idea how to fix it. An advice from Sven Eftringe (Xtext) I came across was to use the itemis packages without any further hints. So I'll probably have to get back to 3.4, I guess.
Any further thoughts?

Thanks + Cheers
André
