Hi experts,
I'm running GhostScript on Japanese PDFs that use
fonts belonging to Registry=Adobe, Category=Japan1.
When I set in Resource/Init/cidfmap
/Adobe-Japan1 /HeiMin-Light
then these documents render without error
but when I set
/Adobe-Japan1 /RodinCID-M
all of these documents fail with error
(error message from one file is below).
The command line I'm using is
$ gs -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=tiffg4 \
-sOutputFile=myfile.tif myfile.pdf
We've been using these fonts for many years with
another PDF product (on the same platform),
this RodinCID-M font which we use most,
we are using that since 1999, so that leads me
believe that the font files are okay.
What am I doing wrong?
How to correct it?
