Evolution Megalab

Has anyone tried surveying for the snails for the megalab? This is part of my Open University course and I've had very little success!

I had a little look around for some at Woods Mill at the end of March. But I didn't find any live specimens. Just dead ones sadly. I think we had the brown lipped and white lipped variety, both of which had lots of bands

 

It was quite dry when I went out looking though, so I might try again soon.

Totally useless for Sussex, but the dunes and vegetated shingle at Hayling Island are teaming with them! Maybe Camber, Climping and East Head would be worth a look? Equally useless for the county, but there were loads at the base of the cliffs in the Avon Gorge.
