Hi,

While executing a webtest on a certain page I get an error on this step: <clickLink label="Toestel M3903" />. I know this link exists, and the weird thing is that in the errormessage below the test report in the section “available links” there is the following entry: label "Toestel M3903" with url https://zakelijk.kpn.com/...etc... (among many others). Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Niels,

If you check the sourcefile of the web page, does the link only contain “Toestel M3903” or are there other additional characters that are not visible on the page?

Yes, checked in source, and I use firebug anyway. It does however contain a lot of whitespace on both sides.

UPDATE:

I use a property defined in an external properties file to fill in the label text. But this should work to, no?

I guess not; it does an exact match of the content. So you will have to add the spaces to the property that you use for the match.

Re: [Webtest] RE: Exitsting link not found Or use xpath and normalize-space() or wt:cleanText().

Niels,

That is the problem; those whitespaces.

I solve those problems by using the href attribute of the clickLink command. When that is not possible, you can always use the xpath attribute, in combination with the xpath contains() or the normalize-space() function.

David
