Export Whole Database to DB Text File... Unhandled Exception

I'm using EAC V0.99 prebeta 5, Win 2K SP4

I suspect the drives in this PC are irrelevant to the problem. They are:

Plextor DVDR PX-750A
Sony DVD-ROM DDU1632

The following error is repeatable:

Navigating: Database | Export Whole Database To | DB Text File...

After clicking save button <CDInfo.txt> a message box appears:

Title bar displays:  "Unhandled exception".

Message box text: "at CDDB.1900 -> INDEX-RANGE".  The message is consistently the same, over numerous trials.

Upon clicking the OK button, EAC unexpectedly closes.  Re-launching EAC (without PC reboot) is normal; no complaints.  Rebooting PC (either warm or cold reboot) makes no change in the fault symptom.

The resulting CDInfo.txt is incomplete, containing only 114 records of 151 total records in the local database.  1 "record" being one compact disc (not one track).

The unhandled exception error does not occur when exporting whole database to CDPLAYER.INI, or local freedb; EAC continues normally.

Export to CDPLAYER.INI includes all 151 records.

The local freedb database is incomplete, with only 140 records.

I don't know whether these problems are because of a corrupt local database, or a bug.

This forum has some similar faults reported, however the reports are relatively old (3 or more years old, as I recall), and not exactly the same symptoms.

This is puzzling.  Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks in advance.

with Lite-On LH-20A1L, XP-SP3:
Today I was ripping a classical music disc. The album information dowloaded from the freeDB, I ran "Dedect Gaps" then "Create Cue Sheet" whereupon I received a very similar error, "Unhandled Exception: at CDDB.1959 -> INDEX-RANGE" and same program closing result.
After a bit of playing around with it, I shortened the freeDB 'CD Title' information after noticing the fields was quite long and using Various Artists. The error did not reoccur at the "Create Cue Sheet" command.

Check your field lengths, windows has always been bad about choking on very long filenames (produced by the 'Artist+Year+Track' info). Hope it helps...
