Heya all,

Managed to build/update scripts for several of the external deps to
2.28, in fact I am probably almost done.

Also did a revamp to the 2.28 trac page so be sure to check it out:

https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/dropline-gnome/wiki/DroplineGnome2_28

Best Wishes,

-

PS: Its important that before we move on desktop stuff we compille
gtk+2 the slackware way.
If not the work is done for nothing since slack is patching gtk+ to be
both archs coexisting if needed.

Hello,

Yeah, didn't knew it was not compiled the Slackware way. I think we
probably could use a "new release" wiki page containing all the
necessary steps we need to follow while building a new release (like
fixing gtk or updating the page you get when you open the browser,
etc... )

If you have built stuff which requires gtk+2 and installed mine, then
you can delete those packages. It is better to delete them now then
looking at strange bugs later because of gtk+2.

Steps needed are:
1) fix gtk+2 to be built the slackware way. This will avoid breaking
other stuff like xfce to the slackware users.
2) install our gtk+2 built the slackware way and continue to build the
packages for gnome with our gtk+2 installed.
3) Also install our mozilla with xulrunner and nss.

This are very important steps since everything gnome related depends on that.

Worry not for I have not built a single package with your gtk+2
installed :) the only thing I had installed from you when I built the
packages were pam and co. (and the firefox/xulranner/nss I had built) so
we should be on the clear!
