The FGS team is proud to announce the release of FGS 1.0!

With this major release, we want to get back on track with the
development and maintenance of FGS and make a new set of packages
available to the users.

I included at the end of this message a list of the packages included in
this release with the version for each one.

The MapServer self-installers including PHP_MapScript is available in
the FGS downloads page:
http://maptools.org/fgs/index.phtml?page=downloads.html
Individual packages are available  here:
http://dl.maptools.org/dl/fgs/releases/1.0/1.0.0/modules/
(also linked from the download page above).

Great work Norm and team.

Norm, I believe that the installer.sh script at http://www.maptools.org/dl/fgs/releases/1.0/1.0.0/installer.sh
still points to the old modules directory and needs to be updated
for the new "releases" directory.

Jeff,

Thank you.  I started to look at this issue last week but didn't have
time to complete.  I'm on vacation this week.  I going to work on this
again next week.

Jeff,

I fixed the path to the modules in the installer.sh and uploaded it to
the download directory.

We are presently trying to compile postgis 1.4.0 in fgs-dev.
When we do a straight build of postgis 1.3.5 it forsk fine building all
the deps etc, no errors finishes build.

In a clean install from cvs we run the command again this time
requesting postgis 1.4.0, the download occurs and then the build
requires us to change all the config options (asking for different
config options but pointint to the same folders. Usually addign config
on the end of the config option is all that is requred to get past that
point.

It then fails asking us to add the lib files for proj etc etc.

We feel like we are chasing our tails here. Has anyone had any success
in buildin this version of postgis in fgs-dev?

thanks

paul
