Eric
I haven’t complained.
I do, however, learn from books.
I have shelves full of books which from which I have learned.
I have a business based on taking an idea from someone and finding
interesting, novel and creative solutions to presentation issues, all
founded on what I have learned from books.

I failed badly at formal education. But at the age of 50 I am still as keen
on learning as I ever was. More so perhaps.
I can still do analogue things better than most of my peers, but some of the
new world requires new skills, so I am trying to UNDERSTAND what I am doing,
in a foreign language.

But, and this is not a complaint, there is ONE source book for this MOST
amazing piece of genius.
I can see the potential for unlocking many problems with pdf output from
databases I programme. Made massive leaps forward in only two weeks, saving
one of the charities I work with HOURS of manual work in Acrobat.

However, there are lots of messages on stored lists where I see Bruno say,
Oh I added this to the class while I was fixing something else, or there is
a better method of doing that now.

So, if this is the only place to get real help, then asking questions from
those who actually know the answers, creator or peers, is the best thing to
do. In the work I do it is those who have been there, and solved the
problems, and are able to graciously direct the younger and inexperienced
team members to the little things they have overlooked, that enable all to
experience to joy of a successful outcome.

Bruno, truly this is genius stuff. And thank you.

I don’t mind that your answers are brusque if they are designed to enable
proper learning..

Eric, sometimes what you need IS the solution, so that you can work
backwards into the problem rather than giving up and feeling dispirited out
of frustration. If you are that good, maybe you could provide more answers
so Bruno has more time to write....

Dare I say it...yes, I think so.

Maybe the book would come sooner if you had done some more of the research
on your own instead of asking 50 questions and arguing with the people that
were trying to help you over the last two days.  It seems hypocritical to me
to "complain" about how long the new book is taking when one of the reasons
it takes so long is he spends so much of his time giving free help on this
mailing list.  Maybe you should attempt to use some logic and extrapolate
from the examples that are provided like a good programmer instead of just
blindly trying to copy them and then asking yet another question when they
don't do exactly what you need right out of the box.

I won't repeat what has been said here,
