Welcome to your September edition of the NBN e-news update

NBN Conference – bookings open!

 

Taking place on the 20th November 2009 at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, Albemarle Street, London, this year’s Conference promises to be another great opportunity for hearing about work across the NBN and networking with partners. The theme is “Non-Native Species - alien invaders or benign newcomers?” Book Now!

 

In addition, we are delighted that Dr Sandy Knapp of the Natural History Museum will deliver The Sir John Burnett Memorial Lecture, with a talk entitled - Origins and invasions: evolution and distribution in a changing world

                                                                               

There will also be posters, displays and demonstrations during lunchtime with the following being confirmed so far: The OPAL Project; Orthoptera Recording Scheme website and re-launch; The Darwin Guide to Recording Wildlife; Darwin’s landscape;The Harlequin Invasion: timeline; Scotland’s Nature and NBN web-services; Online recording in the British Dragonfly Society.
