FW: Professional reptile survey training

Dear colleagues,

I will be running a one-day training course in reptile survey skills on Mon 8^th June 2009, at Avon Causeway Hotel and Sopley Common near Bournemouth, priced £80. The course is aimed at professionals from beginners to intermediates, and will introduce the six native species and develop participants’ skills at surveying them. The classroom and field sessions will cover identification, sexing, ecology, distribution, habitats, survey design, visual search, spotting skills, artificial refugia, detectability, capture, handling, biometrics, photography, recording, interpretation.
