FW: The Argentinian myEye releasedI caught this on Martin Tall's blog, anyone tried it? I'm keen but time short for a bit!
Great to see progress on this finally, and looks like ITU will follow up soon with a rival?! S --- The Argentinian myEye released <http://gazeinteraction.blogspot.com/2009/03/argentinian-myeye-released.html> via Martin Tall On Gaze Interaction <http://gazeinteraction.blogspot.com/> by Martin Tall on 12/03/09 I have been following an interesting project taking place in Argentina during the last half year. Marcelo Laginestra have through his blog <http://www.eyegazetracking.com/> described the developments of a low-cost webcam based eye tracker. It has now been released for download, free of charge. <http://myeye.jimdo.com/> The system requirements are modest, * CPU: 1.5 Ghz or higher * RAM: 256 DDR RAM or higher (Recommendation 512 RAM) * Space: at least 100MB hard disk space. * Camera: 640x480 capture resolution or higher. (At least 30fps) * O.S.: Microsoft Windows XP SP2 Go to the myEye website <http://myeye.jimdo.com/> to download the software. I am happy to see that the project came through, kudos for releasing under Creative Commons. Keep an eye open for the ITU gaze interaction platform <http://www.gazegroup.org/> that will be released in conjunction with CHI09 in early April. <http://res1.blogblog.com/tracker/5651110511478705854-3238842965075004233?l=gazeinteraction.blogspot.com> Things you can do from here: * Subscribe to Martin Tall On Gaze Interaction <http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed%2Fhttp%3A%2F%2Fgazeinteraction.blogspot.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault?source=email> using Google Reader * Get started using Google Reader <http://www.google.com/reader/?source=email> to easily keep up with all your favourite sites ********************************************************************** This message may contain confidential and privileged information.
