World Community Arts Day 17/02/07
http://www.communiversity.org.uk/worldcommunityartsday.htm

On the 17th February 2007 the first World Community Arts Day will take
place. On this day many artists and communities worldwide will be adding
their voice that they wish to use "art as a catalyst for caring and
sharing". That everyone is creative and if we all use this for a cause or
issue we care about we can highlight possible solutions. Paint a picture,
take a photogragh, sing a song, dance, write a poem, etc.

For the first year and to get things we started by asking those who were
connected with the Craigmillar Festival Society as we know this group of
friends is worldwide.

Of course Community Arts is much bigger than this, so others have joined
from around the world.

WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE DAY?
The day is now beginning to take shape and we have a range of events,
lectures, webpages, installations, music, audio, archives, poems and lots of
photos. we have pledges from UK, Mexico, Australia, Portugal, South Africa,
Mexico, Malaysia, Ireland and USA: New Mexico, Los Angeles, Chicago and New
York.

We can already say the event involves hundreds of artists.

A LIST OF PROJECTS CAN BE SEEN ON:

forgot it was on same day as reclaim love, im supposed to bringing sound
to that... it's at the dalston lane peace theatre people's new place a
little further south and consensus says no web promo containing address

partyline liz 07805338212

textout says: urban upriza free party dis sat17th,8-late,adress,live
music,djs-jungle,d+b,reggae,cinema,art space, vegan food,spred the
word,dont post on web..liz

of the above we have 1 sound (rodders sutton st) definite... potentially 2
more to come +Az guitar busking room. think they got projecter, dont think
there is any art for the art space yet and of course, original master
skippers, they got vegan food covered (though more chefs welcome as long
as they dont spoil the broth) plus its jamaican bigs's fruit for life
(fruit and veg stall in a trendy hoxton nightclub during the day, family
event)same day so that'll be there too after his stint at melange

just realised i've treble booked (again), can anyone else get a rolling
sound system to reclaim love?

build one, see my blog 'how to build a rolling soundsystem' on
myspace.com/robtherub... i can even supply parts/funding for genuine
self-organisng builders cos we need MORE of them for VERY VERY
big/important national peace movement demo (no trident/iran/iraq)
happening the saturday following (24th of february) with four all night
partys planned for that night... we have radio transmission live on street
so max no of 'bring a radio' soundsystem etc... ecf 2004 stylee (except it
WILL WORK this time)
