FarCry DevCamp is on like Donkey Kong! (11-Nov-09)Overview -------------------------------- Daemon is running a one day developer camp for FarCry solution developers in Melbourne on the 11 November 2009 (to coincide with the cf.objective() developers conference on 12-13 November 2009). The DevCamp will be run over a single day in a single track of content. The DevCamp is “free” and open to all developers interested in the FarCry platform. Developers will be required to pre-register for the day and numbers will be limited to the size of the venue. Register: http://farcrydevcamp.eventbrite.com/ Agenda -------------------------------- Daemon will deliver a keynote on the future roadmap of FarCry with exclusive previews of the upcoming FarCry 5.3 release. Daemon will coordinate additional content from the FarCry development community. Content will be pre-scheduled, however, its likely that some impromptu developer forums and panels will make up a part of the track content. Both Geoff Bowers (community leader) and Mat Bryant (framework development lead) are confirmed speakers. Check back over the coming weeks for agenda updates! * 08.30 Doors open * 09.00-10.30 Keynote: FarCry Roadmap (including 5.3 Sneak Preview) * 10.30-11.00 Morning Tea * 11.00-13.00 General Sessions * 13.00-14.00 Lunch * 14.00-16.00 General Sessions * 16.00-16.30 End of Dev Camp Wrap Up Special Thanks -------------------------------- A big thank you to the folks at Melbourne Law School, whose generous donation of facilities has made it all possible. Did I mention we're looking for would be FarCry presenters for the DevCamp?! If you have a 20 minute case study or a full blown presentation let us know -- we need all the war stories and hand's on experience we can get in the agenda :) -- geoff http://www.daemon.com.au/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group. Still plenty of places left for Wednesday's DevCamp! Mat and I have been brainstorming what we'll be running through on the day -- I think it's going to be a lot of fun. We'll be hosting a chatty Master Class with guest appearances. I'll be doing a lot of talking and Mat will be doing a lot of coding -- it's always a joy to see him put the framework through its paces. We're concentrating on what you can do *today* with a few nods here and there to what's coming in the future. We want folks to walk out with skillz to get building right away rather than teasing you too much with what's planned for later releases -- ok, so we won't be able to help talking about our plans for the future ;) Register if you can (helps us a lot with planning): http://farcrydevcamp.eventbrite.com/ And if you can't -- not to worry, just drop in on the day. The venue has plenty of space. Hope to see you all there, -- geoff http://www.daemon.com.au/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
