Feature Request : Lyric Windows

Hello there...

wouldn't this be great if a lyric window/column may be provided (take a look into mini lyrics on windows....its the best implementation of lyrics support in any media player)....

hey devs, could you please make it possible ? this feature will make Banshee just irresistible...

There was an extension for it at some point in time. I'm not sure if it
still works, or if it is in active development, though.

I will restart working on lyrics plugin early... (Probably next week)
In the last months I worked on other projects and I didn't have any time for the plugin..

I'm trying to get the Banshee Lyrics Plugin packaged for Ubuntu, but
there's the issue of make distclean clobbering src/Makefile.in. It would
be nice if you could remove the line 'DISTCLEANFILES = Makefile.in' from
src/Makefile.am. Perhaps replace it with 'MAINTAINERCLEANFILES =
Makefile.in'?

I Compiled one version of the Lyrics extension (0.7 I think) and it worked quite well (minor problem with carriage returns?!?)
Anyway, nice job!

It would be great if, in addition to displaying the lyrics, there was a button to update the ID3 tag of the file. (I've tried to do it manually with gtkpod and eyeD3 but they have some bugs I guess)

My purpose would be to see the lyric in my ipod once I transfer it.

The Lyrics extension is an external, third party extension.

You should probably contact its author or file your request in its issue
