Feedzirra (more importantly, curb) on JRuby?

Good afternoon everyone,

Has anyone had to deal with finding an alternative to curb (an
interface to curl) that's JRuby friendly?

I'm moving a system over from MRI that's using Feedzirra
(http://github.com/pauldix/feedzirra/tree/master) and the alternatives
to Feedzirra have been so so...
