Re-public

Call for papers: Innovative Service Design for All (Part Two)

Re-public is a online journal published in Greece, in two languages
(Greek-English):  <http://www.re-public.gr/en/> http://www.re-public.gr/en/.

In July 2009, Re-public published a Special Issue entitled "Innovative
Service Design for All".

Re-public invites contributions for a *second* special issue dedicated to
"Innovative Service Design for All".

Service design lies in the centre of attention in contemporary, increasingly
service-oriented knowledge economies. In such contexts, user experience is
paramount, including both the interfaces and interactions that customers use
to contact the service provider, as well as the back-office activities
performed by the service provider. Given the complexity of services in
modern, multicultural, networked societies and the criticality of their
environmental impact, service design becomes a major issue for the years to
come.

Submissions may deal with the theme from various disciplinary perspectives
and may be about (but not restricted to) the following:

. Discussing the role of service design reform for the preservation of
natural resources.

. Service design and organizational change.

. Exploring public services and the role of civil servants and citizens as
co-producers.

. Service design in the context of education.

. Service design in the context of the health sector.

. Service design for marginalized or underserved communities.

We are particularly interested in realized applications and successful
examples of service design.

Submissions formats may include texts, visual essays, or videos.

Texts (either autonomous or accompanying visual material) may be up to 2000
words.

Please submit contributions in any electronic format to issue editor Artemis
Yagou,

e-mail: artemis AT yagou.gr

Deadline for submissions: Saturday 12 December 2009
