Firebug cannot be used on firefox 3.5 portable ?

Hi all,

I'm using Firefox 3.5 portable and I need firebug extension (1.4.3).
When I install it, it requires FF to be restarted, as usual.
After restarting FF, it still says that requires restart.
Any reason why ?
Should I change something manually ?
It always says: "This add-on will be installed when Firefox is
restarted"

You need to contact Firefox support about installation issues.  We
don't do any thing special.
