Firebug won't start upI've got FF3.5.4 and Firebug 1.4.3. The bug shows on the bottom bar,
and firebug is listed with an arrow under tools, but no submenu shows up and nothing happens when I click on the bug. I just installed a new Panda internet security system yesterday, so maybe it is blocking it, but why? Everything else is working. I just went through a major virus/trojan horse episode yesterday - 38 were found. So in the process of cleaning that up, lot's of things were removed, and things in the registry were deleted, in case that could have any effect. Thanks and I hope this was the right place to post this. I really need Firebug back for the work that I do. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group. To post to this group, send email to firebug@.... Re: Firebug won't start upUnfortunately that didn't help. When I started with the new profile
(blank I assume - no bookmarks), and reinstalled Firebug, even the bug on the lower bar didn't show. And the one in the tools menu has an arrow but no sub-options show when I hover. I sent a message to my new security system on Friday. I will check back with them tomorrow. Unless you have any other ideas, or anything I can check to see what could be blocking it. Re: Firebug won't start upI wanted to report back that I discovered that when booting off an
alternative backup bootable disk, that I can bring firebug up. It's the same installation, but running off a different disk. So I'm going to the "Program Files/thunderbird . . ." folder on what is now my D: disk. As such, the problem must be in some corrupted aspect of that other disk which went through some bad infections last week. So it isn't a problem with the installation, the code, or with the security software, which is running on both systems. Thanks for your help in this problem. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group. To post to this group, send email to firebug@....
