I've attached a patch (tested on Vista and XP) to the following bug report.
[Bug #423326] Untranslated file types
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/423326It fixes some gettext calls in the win32 open/import dialog (i18n fix only). The strings are already translated (they are shared with the linux/mac dialog) and the fix doesn't require an inkscape.pot rebuild. :)
It's a low priority bug, but since it affects the UI it would be nice to have it fixed in 0.47.
