Flowplayer some issues..Hi all,
To some off you that use flowplayer.. I got some issues using it... 1 - If I connect to some live stream using rtmp... the streaming is delayed compared with for example publisher client... viewing the stream 2 - Flow player... reads the stream...but only get sound on first try... but if i pause and play again... I got image + sound... 3 - If for example I use a server playlist when the server playlist app start to stream another playlist file , flowplayer gets stuck long time (more and less 20 seconds and sometimes more) and then it starts playing the stream with no problems... this issue doen't happen on publisher demo ... viewing the stream... Just wanted to now if someone have some issues like those... Re: Flowplayer some issues..Hi Thomas,
Thanks!! Just one thing... on 2nd issue ... your are starting the stream on flowplayer connection ... or you connect to a stream where you are already streaming? This happens to me when streaming to the stream already started and I connect with flowplayer to that stream (I think it got problems to to get in sync with the stream....sound starts...no video...pause and play --> video and image) ... the stream is currently a playlist that puts some *.flv files only on the stream... Is this your case? btw I've tried your issue from yesterday but don't got any real conclusions ... I'll be more patient tomorrow and have a closer look. Re: Flowplayer some issues..Yes... that way i think i don't issue too... problem is for example
when you join an already startedStreaming Session ... I'll guess that I'll give up from flowplayer.. is nothing that special at the end... Last two emails that you sent ... With the scope Names thing... i've debug once a test that I've done but found some weird things too.. But i've checked that if you obtain global scope ... You can see al aplication registered, .... Actually what was messing me is that getScopeNames() returns an iterator of strings, and the scope names have ":" prepended. So I first need to substring(1) before using it. That weird. - Show quoted text - -- VOD & visioconference - http://www.digiprof.tv _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list Red5@... http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org Reply Forward Invite Thomas to chat Reply | Thomas to red5 show details 12:07 am (1 day ago) And last but not the least: getBroadcastStreamNames doesn't behave as "return list of all publishers". Because if a user requests a stream that doesn't yet exist, it will still get added to the getBroadcastStreamNames returned values. So in order to get list of all published streams, I must use something else, but what? Yeah, I use flowplayer because I need a quick and cheap video player with a scrub bar, if I had time I would code my own. Speaking about Flowplayer does anyone know if it's possible to create what they call "html chapters" but some the same rtmp streams with simply positions in time? Currently to simulate chapters in my movie, I need to cut the movie into small pieces, but when the player jumps from one piece to another, there is a 2s load that is ugly. So I'd like to have only 1 video file with chapters to jump from one point of the video to another. Any idea? > Last two emails that you sent ... It's strange the thing about the semicolon prepend to the scope names, but anyway I simply substring the name out of it and voilà. -- VOD & visioconference - http://www.digiprof.tv _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list Red5@... http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org |

Yes for the moment is ok...but you never now how that will be in the future... maybe with an upgrade you'll get surprises (if it changes) and you'll have to re-edit your code!! but don't know any other way to do it so... that's the only option you have :D > VOD & visioconference - http://www.digiprof.tv > > _______________________________________________ > Red5 mailing list > Red5@... > http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org > _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list Red5@... http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org |

On the other hand, JW flv is absolutely terrible! I would just like to mention that the playlist plugin for FlowPlayer is currently not working well/at all for RTMP streams...we wasted a whole lot of time on that and later saw others with the same problem on their forum...
