Infusion 1.1.2 Release

The Fluid Project is very pleased to announce the release of Fluid Infusion 1.1.2

This release is a combination of bug fixes to existing code plus new features aimed at giving Infusion users a better experience. Infusion 1.1.2 is an incremental upgrade and preserves backwards compatibility for all production-grade components.
This release addresses some pesky bugs in Uploader, provides a sneak peak at the Mobile Fluid Skinning System, and showcases a new demo portal for easier interaction.

This release covers several bug fixes to the framework and components, focusing mostly on the Inline Edit and Reorderer components. Infusion 1.1.1 is an incremental upgrade and preserves backwards compatibility for all production-grade components.

Fluid Infusion 1.0 Release

The Fluid Project is very pleased to announce the release of Fluid Infusion 1.0!

This release introduces a new data binding framework, a stand-alone Progress component, three new Fluid Skinning System themes, and a number of UI Options improvements and refinements. Along with the usual bug fixes and improvements, we've improved the consistency of the code base by standardizing APIs, class names, and reorganizing the source code.

Known issues in Infusion 0.6

Infusion 0.6 was a big release for the Fluid community, packed with
new features and improvements to the framework and components. In our
push to get the release out the door, a few bugs snuck in that we want
to let you know about.

Here's a summary of substantial known issues in Infusion 0.6:

1. The Uploader component in 0.6 introduced support for Flash 10,
requiring an upgrade to SWFUpload version 2.2.0 beta 3, the
underlying Flash Upload library we use. This has caused several new
bugs related to browser compatibility, keyboard navigation, and
assistive technology support that we are currently addressing.

While the Fluid Uploader works in most browsers with both Flash 9 and
10, we are in the process of fixing an incompatibility with Flash 9
and Internet Explorer, as well as some accessibility issues:

2. The Pager component in Infusion 0.6 throws an exception in IE:

3.The jQuery UI ui.core.js file included in our distribution bundle
includes a stray UTF-8 character than can cause errors in certain
browsers.. This problem occurs only when using Fluid-all.js with HTML
documents that do not specify the character encoding:

We take these issues seriously, and will be releasing Infusion 0.7
shortly to address the problems. In the meantime, if you have any

Fluid Infusion 0.5beta1 Released!

The Fluid team is proud to announce a Beta release of version 0.5 of
Fluid Infusion. It is ready for download from:
http://fluidproject.org/index.php/downloads

This Beta release is intended to give our users a "heads-up" regarding
changes that will be coming in the 0.5 release. In particular:

* Our APIs are changing: we are consolidating the "look and feel"
of the component APIs
* Huge improvements to the Reorderer (and more to come)
* New Inline Edit feature: Undo
* Many bug fixes

We encourage you to use and experiment with Fluid v0.5beta1. You will
find tutorials to help you upgrade from 0.4 at

The Fluid Project is pleased to announce the first release of the Fluid
component library and User Experience (UX) Toolkit. Fluid 0.1 is
available for download at:

Fluid 0.1 contains:
* The Reorderer, a JavaScript library for sorting DOM elements
* The Lightbox, a component for organizing image thumbnails
* Drag and drop UI design patterns
* Checklists and protocols for doing UX walkthroughs

What is Fluid?
The Fluid component library is a small but growing collection of rich,
reusable, accessible user interface components that can be used across
web applications. These components have been designed by a
cross-disciplinary team and thoroughly tested for usability and
accessibility. By incorporating Fluid components into your web
application's user interface, you can make your application easier to
use by more people. Easier to use means happier users.

Fluid is Open Source
Fluid's source code is dual licensed under the ECL 2.0 and BSD licenses.
Our UX Toolkit is available under a Creative Commons license.

Known Issues
Fluid is still in early development, and this release has a number of
known issues. API changes will be coming in the future, so for now, we
encourage you to use 0.1 for experimentation and prototyping. Check the
README.txt file in the download package for a list of known issues.
