> the framework and components, building on the solid foundation of
> our Infusion 1.0 release last month. Infusion 1.1 is an incremental
> What's New in This Release?
>
> * Updates our supported browsers to include the latest from Yahoo's
> A-grade browser list
> - see http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Browser+Support
> * Provides the ability to create custom builds:
> * Adds new and powerful decorators for the Renderer:
> - The "fluid" decorator instantiates any Fluid Infusion
> component bound to the markup
> - New support for removing arbitrary attributes and CSS classes
> * Updates the Pager:
> - Improved handing of column sorting
> - Fixed persistence of focus
> * Updates the Uploader:
> - User can manually switch to the standard non-Flash http file
> uploader
> - Uploader Browse button now respects DOM z-index in Flash 10
> * Updates the User Interface Options:
> - Better cross browser support
> - Better keyboard and screen reader accessibility

The Fluid Project is very pleased to announce the release of Fluid
Infusion 1.1

This release introduces a handful of new features and bug fixes to the
framework and components, building on the solid foundation of our
Infusion 1.0 release last month. Infusion 1.1 is an incremental
upgrade and preserves backwards compatibility for all production-grade
components.

Infusion 1.1 is available for download at:

   http://fluidproject.org/index.php/download-infusion

What's New in This Release?

   * Updates our supported browsers to include the latest from Yahoo's
A-grade browser list
        - see http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Browser+Support
    * Provides the ability to create custom builds:
        - see http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Custom+Build
    * Adds jQuery UI Themes for working with FSS themes
    * Adds new and powerful decorators for the Renderer:
        - The "fluid" decorator instantiates any Fluid Infusion
component bound to the markup
        - New support for removing arbitrary attributes and CSS classes
    * Updates the Pager:
        - Improved handing of column sorting
        - Fixed persistence of focus
    * Updates the Uploader:
        - User can manually switch to the standard non-Flash http file
uploader
        - Uploader Browse button now respects DOM z-index in Flash 10
    * Updates the User Interface Options:
        - Better cross browser support
        - Better keyboard and screen reader accessibility
    * Changes some class names in the FSS and components:
            - see http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Upgrading+to+Infusion+1.1
    * Changes some Framework API:

Infusion 0.6 was a big release for the Fluid community, packed with
new features and improvements to the framework and components. In our
push to get the release out the door, a few bugs snuck in that we want
to let you know about.

Here's a summary of substantial known issues in Infusion 0.6:

1. The Uploader component in 0.6 introduced support for Flash 10,
requiring an upgrade to SWFUpload version 2.2.0 beta 3, the
underlying Flash Upload library we use. This has caused several new
bugs related to browser compatibility, keyboard navigation, and
assistive technology support that we are currently addressing.

While the Fluid Uploader works in most browsers with both Flash 9 and
10, we are in the process of fixing an incompatibility with Flash 9
and Internet Explorer, as well as some accessibility issues:

http://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-2053
http://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-2054

2. The Pager component in Infusion 0.6 throws an exception in IE:

http://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-2046

3.The jQuery UI ui.core.js file included in our distribution bundle
includes a stray UTF-8 character than can cause errors in certain
browsers.. This problem occurs only when using Fluid-all.js with HTML
documents that do not specify the character encoding:

http://issues.fluidproject.org/browse/FLUID-2134

We take these issues seriously, and will be releasing Infusion 0.7
shortly to address the problems. In the meantime, if you have any
questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to drop us a line on the
fluid-talk mailing list:
