I remember that they used to charge, per email, for emails you received
from, or sent "outside the CompuServe network". Fortunately, spam was light
in those days, but you still got charged per spam message, none the less!

CompuServe talked to the Internet? That was way after my time - Kaypro II
(C/PM) and a Hayes 1200 was the top tech I ever used to play SeaWars!

What was the name of that game of galactic conquest?? They would restart it
every few months so you had a hope of finding some small planet that you
could hold onto until someone's imperial galactic battle fleet came by a
ended your game :-)
