I would also like to request a GIT repository and BugZilla entry for a new
project named 'xinput_calibrator'.

Its a generic touchscreen calibration program, for all Xorg touchscreen
drivers. I announced its initial version on the Xorg mailinglist
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2009-September/047195.html) and
have improved it since then.
I already created a Wiki entry for it, with more information:

Cache cleared, Cgit updated. Looking at the changes there's been a few segsigv
fixes in the caching code hopefully that'll fix the issue.

Description

Listaller is a set of specifications and tools which makes the installation of
applications easier. It works primary on Linux distributions, support for other
OSes is not planned, but possible.
The project is built on PackageKit and PolicyKit.

Scope
--------------------
Initially providing:

* A IPK package file spec which defines a global format for application
setups. (This is NO new package format, it contains a distro-independent recipe
how to install the application's dependencies)

* A library, libInstaller, to access Listaller functions.

* An abstraction of current software-install solutions, e.g. Listaller can
handle Autopackage.org installations and LOKI setup. (used for many games and
for Google Earth)

* An application uninstaller: This application is able to remove all
available applications on a Linux system. (Native packages, IPK, LOKI/MoJo, AP,
etc.)

* A SQLite database storing all application data
* Various other stuff, like an app-dependency-checker, an testinstall-mode,
option to install into $HOME, etc.

Design constraints:

* A GTK+ and Qt frontend is provided
* Written in Pascal (FPC).
* The IPK specs base on the ZIP file format and contain a file with similar
syntax to Debian's control files. An IPK setup can launch binary installers,
can download & install a collection of native packages or contain all files
directly. Later packages should be GnuPG signed.
* Listaller is an APPLICATION installer. It is used to manage applications,
not packages.

The project tries to fix the problems developers have if they want to provide a
setup for all Linux distributions.
It is also useful for users, cause they can easily remove unnecessary
applications and have not to worry about finding the right package or the right
uninstallation file (for MoJo/LOKI or AP).
The libInstaller library has a C compatible interface and can be used with
other frontends too.

This project received a lot of support from the community - and a lot of
critique, which became nearly completely silent after we explained our concept.
"We" are only a few developers, but a lot of people who contribute other stuff
(designs, testings on new Linux distributions, logs).
They asked me if I could ask freedesktop.org to create this project there to
make it public with the 0.4 release.
We would need a version control (Git) and a mailing list.
It would be great if we could use the freedesktop.org platform for developing
Listaller!

I'd like to update my pgp key on fd.o from AC5F700C to 0905E40C. The new key
is signed by the old key and 3 other debian developers at this time.

An account has been created for you on developer-accessible machines
with username 'gnadon'.

SSH and GPG keys are used everywhere in place of your password: all
machine logins are done via SSH (passwords are disabled), and account
changes are made using your GPG key[0].

Currently, the main generally developer-accessible machine is
annarchy.freedesktop.org, which provides developer home pages
(people.freedesktop.org), shells, and several web services.
Project home pages live on gabe.freedesktop.org, under
/srv/projectname.freedesktop.org.

CVS is hosted on kemper.freedesktop.org (cvs.freedesktop.org is a
permanent CNAME), so you should access your repositories like so:
CVSROOT=:ext:username@...:/cvs/projectname
Note that anonymous CVS access is hosted on a different machine:
CVSROOT=:pserver:anoncvs@...:/cvs/projectname

Shells are not available by default on kemper.

Similarly, SVN and GIT are also hosted on kemper.freedesktop.org.
For SVN, commit to:

files in your public_html directory under annarchy, and reference it
