FreeplayHey PIGMIs,
The day before yesterday I received word that the Freeplay festival is on again this year in Melbourne, in August. It's now under new managment (no longer run by the NextWave art festival people). It's always been a wonderful little indie games conference and I'm so glad it's getting the loving attention that it needs. <http://www.freeplay.net.au/> I'm pretty excited about this as Freeplay 2004 was where I first got a sense of the indie game dev buzz that was brewing hot around the globe. It was huge fun. Hopefully we can represent the thriving new scene we've got in Perth at this year's conference. Perhaps someone should submit a talk on all the developments in the Perth scene lately? Simon has kindly subscribed their RSS feed to our planet, so you can check out updates at the usual place: <http://planet.pigmi.org/> Have fun! Chris. ------------------- http://mccormick.cx --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... Re: FreeplayThanks for the heads-up Chris.
I'll send them an email and ask about presenting an update to the recent industry report... after I return from Korea... ;) Hopefully, we can get a good-sized Perth contingent to fully rprsnt! - Nick On Wed, May 20, 2009 at 6:05 PM, Chris McCormick <chris@...> wrote: > Hey PIGMIs, > > The day before yesterday I received word that the Freeplay festival is on again > this year in Melbourne, in August.
