While putting together the 2010 budget with German (which will be made
public after a period of review by the advisory board), we put in a
goal of 10 new monthly subscribers a month. That would be 120 new
subscribers by the end of the fiscal year 2010!

Does this sound reasonable to everyone? If so, we'll have to figure
out how to make it happen!

FYI, donations picked up after the 2.28 release - so either the note
in the release notes or just all the publicity must of helped. I'll
put out the results after the end of the month.

Seems a good, and reasonable goal.

Hi,

Sounds reasonable but we'll have to take all opportunities we have to
promote Friends of GNOME to achieve this goal.

Some ideas for next year:
- GNOME 2.30/3.0 and 2.32/3.2 releases
- Software Freedom Day 2010
- GUADEC
- Schedule for blogging/Microblogging (similar to what we did on marketing list)
- Special "seasonal" gifts (winter GNOME t-shirt for new subscribers,
software freedom day mug for $50+ donations, etc)
- Goals (sysadmin, gnome 3.0 promotion, etc)

We should probably have a wiki page with the promotion plan for FoG in
2010 or something.
