Futuristic/Minimalistc UI theme

Hey guys :)
Sorry about leaving there for a little while. The good news is, though, that while I was gone I got a ton better at graphic design. I decided to make a futuristic theme for lmms, and while I was at it, I realized that I could also make it fit with Paul's request for a minimalistic theme.

Here's a screenshot of what I have so far:

I just thought I'd get some feedback and suggestions before I went through and made everything.

Looks great! The only gripe I have is with the FX mixer. The channels look a bit goofy.

Thanks :)
You mean the faders (vertical scrollbars)?
I assume so; I don't really like how they turned out either.

Yes that's what I'm talking about. Other than that, it looks great - I'd like to see this theme explored.

Michael,

That's a pretty fancy looking theme. I would love to be using that in LMMS.

I like the simplicity cheese, and there are a lot of us in the crowd that would love a minimalistic theme.

Anyway, with regards to Michael's one, isn't that a design mock-up, i.e concept artwork? If so, keep going at it and work up an implementation. If not, and it's actually a theme mockup, i.e possible to implement without change of code, then please finish it fast! =p

Also need to get a spot in the kvr forum for lmms i dont think there is a developer forum for it yet.

Looks pretty good, though once again I wonder if LMMS' skinning facility
might someday be flexible enough to permit a theme that uses each user's
system colors and/or even widget styles, and if not, if it would be
possible to create a high-contrast, dark-on-light version of these themes
for those of us with old eyes.

I don't even think the mixer sliders would be a problem as long as they
activate if the user clicks on the borders and not just the dot in the
middle.

I think that would be ideal, since my Qt and KDE programs are pretty
readable (and dark on light) on my machines already.  If there's a way to
use native styles in LMMS at runtime currently, I'm unaware of it, and
haven't spent enough time with the UI code to know how to do it at the
source level.

Wow. Nice concept there.
And his is a concept (for whoever it was that asked), not an actual theme yet.

Back to my much less impressing theme:
I know what I want to do with the FX scrollbars. I'm away from my computer now, but I'll probly do it later today.

Yes. I am pgib from the kvr forum.  I will also be the one
implementing your theme.  Thanks for the work so far, it is excellent.
Let me know when you have a candidate ready ;-)
