Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeHey guys :)
Sorry about leaving there for a little while. The good news is, though, that while I was gone I got a ton better at graphic design. I decided to make a futuristic theme for lmms, and while I was at it, I realized that I could also make it fit with Paul's request for a minimalistic theme. Here's a screenshot of what I have so far: ![]() I just thought I'd get some feedback and suggestions before I went through and made everything. -lewa |

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeLooks great! The only gripe I have is with the FX mixer. The channels look a bit goofy.

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeThanks :)
You mean the faders (vertical scrollbars)? I assume so; I don't really like how they turned out either.

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeYes that's what I'm talking about. Other than that, it looks great - I'd like to see this theme explored.

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeHey guys, i am a graphic designer form the UK, i have been following
LMMS for while now. And the other day i created this for LMMS is a
whole new look. It's not complete yet, but its a good idea as to where
i am going with the style.

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeMichael,
That's a pretty fancy looking theme. I would love to be using that in LMMS. -Jon Michael wrote: > Hey guys, i am a graphic designer form the UK, i have been following > LMMS for while now. Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeI like the simplicity cheese, and there are a lot of us in the crowd that would love a minimalistic theme. Anyway, with regards to Michael's one, isn't that a design mock-up, i.e concept artwork? If so, keep going at it and work up an implementation. If not, and it's actually a theme mockup, i.e possible to implement without change of code, then please finish it fast! =p

I don't even think the mixer sliders would be a problem as long as they activate if the user clicks on the borders and not just the dot in the middle. If there's a way to use native styles in LMMS at runtime currently, I'm unaware of it, and haven't spent enough time with the UI code to know how to do it at the source level. Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI theme.Wow. Nice concept there.
And his is a concept (for whoever it was that asked), not an actual theme yet. Back to my much less impressing theme: I know what I want to do with the FX scrollbars. I'm away from my computer now, but I'll probly do it later today.

Re: Futuristic/Minimalistc UI themeMichael -
Yes. I am pgib from the kvr forum. I will also be the one implementing your theme. Thanks for the work so far, it is excellent. Let me know when you have a candidate ready ;-) -Paul On Tue, Sep 15, 2009 at 12:31 PM, Michael <cusismusic@...> wrote: > Hey guys, i am a graphic designer form the UK, i have been following LMMS > for while now.
