A few days ago, Johannes Eva posted this on the UX list and I thought
it might be relevant for the Art project - basically it's a proposal
for a new application background to replace the current default
'battleship grey' in OOo. Please see his email below.

Hi everybody!

Some weeks ago I started to write an article about the application
background in OOo. I had time to finish it yesterday night, so here it

Change the OpenOffice.org Background Color

Use bitmaps/patterns/pictures as Application Background instead of

There you can find some mockups for background images as well as a short
point:
"For not disturbing the concentration of the user working with OOo, the
background pictures have to be discreet, but beautiful. Especially when
the background picture comes closer to the document, it has to be
unobtrusive."

If someone wants to do some artwork, they might be uploaded to the wiki.

An info to Johannes (johanneseva@...) might be appropriate too ;-)
