Raul just said  that J is a CAS language?

I will enjoy J more once I get it properly and perfectly installed into my pocket PC's / smartphone, get  a 64 bit version on my MacBook Pro, and get the hang of reactivating previous files etc etc etc

thanks and thanks for all the kind help so far

Dick

I am using 64 bit J on a MacBook Pro via Ubuntu on VMWare fusion. You could
do the same if you only have a MBPro to hand and want to use 64 bit J.

What are you doing that requires 64-bits?

How are you going to do any serious work on a smart phone? My HTC Magic
keyboard would make J programming a real nightmare. I think I saw somewhere
on jsoftware.com  a web based J-server where you can run J commands
remotely. Perhaps you could access it on your smartphone.

No, but I did imply that a subset of J could be a CAS language.

Identifying one of these subsets is left as an exercise for the student.
