Re: An Invitation for Young People with Cerebral Palsy

As a research student with cerebral palsy, I am aware of the difficulties of
using some of the conventional computer technologies. As part of my research
degree, the University of Greenwich is currently undertaking a study to
investigate technologies which have the potential to improve computer and
communication access for young people with Cerebral Palsy (without any
additional learning difficulty or disability).  From personal experience, I am
aware that such disabilities can make the use of a conventional computer
mouse and keyboard challenging.  The study is therefore investigating a range
of alternatives to keyboards and mice which maybe more accessible for young
people with Cerebral Palsy.

As part of this study, I am now seeking voluntary participants, aged between
5 and 20, who would be willing and able to participate in the trials of a number
of alternative technologies under investigation.  It is hoped the trials will be
carried in June and July at the Medway campus (Kent, UK).

If you know of a young person with Cerebral Palsy who would like to take part
in this study, please email me:  la46@... for an application form.

Many thanks for your time
