G2 Development Assistance

Hi All,

I am doing some updates to G2 (I know, I'm a luddite) and wanted to make a few small queries.

1. I have added a new event and suppose either the Core or Module API flag needs to be bumped up. Can anyone kindly indicate which one?

2. The Core API is currently at 7,54 for v2.3.2 (Although I noticed that the Core Module still requires 7,53 in the module.inc). Anyway,I was wondering that if the major flag, '7', needs to be increased, will the next one be '8,54' or '8,1'. That is, do the two parts iterate continuously and independent of the other or do they act like a regular number n which case the minor flag gets reset when the major flag changes?

3.  There are 177 G2 issues in the SF tracker as filtered here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?limit=25&func=&group_id=7130&atid=107130&assignee=&status=&category=&artgroup=&keyword=&submitter=&artifact_id=&assignee=&status=1&category=&artgroup=408801&submitter=&keyword=&artifact_id=&submit=Filter. I will like to import these as Github issues. There is a script to do this but it needs a Project Admin to export the SF issues as an xml file. Can Bharat (or another) help? Preferably not the whole set of issues but filtered to Open G2 ones. If not possible, I'll work with whatever I can get.

The current work is at https://github.com/dakanji/G2Project.

Hope not to distract folks but hopefully minor questions can be answered by you guys and more importantly, stuff done can be accepted back for release.

Hi Mindless!

Nice to hear from you.

Thanks for the reply. I saw the procedure on the bumping in the GalleryCoreAPI.class file. (couldn't find anything on the Module or Template (Theme?) API but I suppose similar process will apply for respective classes.

On the issues, I was assuming they would be left on SF but I just wanted a copy of the G2 related ones so that I could handle them. That is, flag as "unresolved", "wont fix" or "fixed" etc.
Basically because I don't have access to the status on SF. Some of them have already been duplicated on GH.

I suppose I could just knuckle down and manually recreate them on GH but just thought importing an xml dump looked a lot more attractive even if the xml file has to be manually edited first.

Cheers

Dayo

BTW, the code reviewer position is still open :)

Minor bump of core api.

IMO, probably better to leave the issues in SF.
