GIMP brushes

I was looking around for GIMP brushes. And I found some. But I didn't
download them. I was afraid to. Because it said that they were
converted from Photoshop. So I was wondering if it is illegal to
download them and use them.

And another question of mine is. What GIMP brushes are illegal to use?
So I know not to use them.
