GMOD cvs connection problemHi, I am trying to connect to GMOD CVS from Windows machine using winCVS.
The error message I get while trying to connect is as follows Logging in to :pserver:anonymous@...:2401:/cvsroot/gmod/Generic-Genome-Browser/ cvs [login aborted]: connect to gmod.cvs.sourceforge.net:2401 failed: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. Does any one know what is the real issue with the connection ? Do I have to use a different port on the server.
Thanks for your reply. -Bala ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OpenSolaris 2009.06 is a cutting edge operating system for enterprises looking to deploy the next generation of Solaris that includes the latest innovations from Sun and the OpenSource community. Re: GMOD cvs connection problemHi Bala,
Do you have a firewall that is blocking connections over port 2401? With an email address @dow.com, it wouldn't surprise me.
