GMT versus UT

Although the use of GMT is deprecated for scientific purposes, BBC World Service (which I can receive at AM frequency 648 kHz) still uses it after the 'six pips' marking the full hour.

The designation "GMT" is also still commonly used to refer to the UK's
time zone during non-summer time.

But the international standard for civil timekeeping hasn't been
called "GMT" for 30 years now.
