GNOME Showstopper ReviewGNOME 2.26.3 will be released on July 1st. GNOME 2.28 in September.
Take a look, test & help out, get things done now instead of postponing plus being surprised of a sudden freeze that has always been mentioned in http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyseven . ;-) Please do speak up if there are important bugs that are not listed here. Also please keep in mind to clean up your modules for GNOME3. See http://www.gnome.org/~fpeters/299.html for the status of your module. ================================================ BRASERO ================================================ Brasero don't burn DVD DL (double layer) http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=562897 Brasero maintainers (Luis) set the 2.26 blocker here. ================================================ EVOLUTION ================================================ Camel Disk summary meta bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543389 Summary says it all, still a few regression bugs opened here Corruption of mailbox and can't expunge trash http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=550414 This has been open for 10 months and there's still no fix. Evolution is unusable in 800x600 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267787 I wonder whether this is simply a WONTFIX and covered by Anjal now. ================================================ GCONF-EDITOR ================================================ Configuration Editor should use PolicyKit to set mandatory and default keys without restarting http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=512494 Waiting for Vuntz to update his patch. ================================================ GNOME-GAMES ================================================ Text is not sanely translatable http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=551859 This is a complicated issue. More input by translators welcome as this is a complicated issue. Remove deprecated GTK+ symbols http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572333 This is blocked by a new upstream ggz release. ================================================ GNOME-KEYRING ================================================ "Password: " is not translated in pam module http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572360 Patch available, someone needs to be brave enough to commit though. ================================================ GNOME-SESSION ================================================ Exits when the system D-Bus daemon restarts http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=583345 Patch available. gnome-session-properties needs button to save session http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=575544 Patch available (and feedback from Debian). ================================================ GTK+ ================================================ Session Management support http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79285 One issue that blocks killing libegg and properly killing libgnome(ui). ================================================ GVFS ================================================ Too many internal strings marked for translation http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=517014 Might be a WONTFIX as per last comment - someone else willing to comment? ================================================ NAUTILUS ================================================ nautilus flips out when show_desktop is unchecked http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571417 A patch has been available for 6 weeks and has been confirmed to work. ================================================ POLICYKIT-GNOME ================================================ Some strings doesn't work properly with translations http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549411 Trivial patch still awaiting review from the maintainers. No changes since February. ================================================ SABAYON ================================================ When I try to edit ANYTHING, the program crashes. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524204 A patch has been posted in bug 542604 - now if any Sabayon maintainer could review and/or commit... ================================================ SEAHORSE ================================================ SSH keys not selected on import http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355163 Seahorse maintainers (Stef) set the 2.28 blocker here. ================================================ VINO ================================================ show .local hostname if avahi is present http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330691 ================================================ YELP ================================================ rtl problems rendering tables of contents in yelp http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=573159 Yelp maintainers (Shaun) set the 2.26 blocker here. ================================================ GNOME GOALS left: ================================================ * http://live.gnome.org/GtkPrintPort : This only requires an update of gnome-devel-docs and a solution for gnome-python-desktop. * http://live.gnome.org/GioPort : This only requires a solution for gnome-python-desktop. More Goals available: * http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/CleanupGTKIncludes * http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/DropLibsexy * http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/RemoveDeprecatedSymbols/Glib * http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/RemoveDeprecatedSymbols/GTK%2B * http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/RemoveLibGladeUseGtkBuilder See http://www.gnome.org/~fpeters/299.html for automatically updated status reports of all modules. Note that PolicyKit-gnome is going to be phased out when we bump the PolicyKit dependency to the 1.0 api. David will be sending mail about that shortly. _______________________________________________ Gnome-bugsquad mailing list Gnome-bugsquad@... http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-bugsquad |

It's easy to get into an inconsistent state or lock yourself to a defunct desktop where nothing works and you are not able to log out. -- Patryk Zawadzki _______________________________________________ Gnome-bugsquad mailing list Gnome-bugsquad@... http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-bugsquad |

(empathy proxy support) http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492076 Ubuntu qualifies it as "important" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/304889 Fedora has a list of blocker bugs for F12: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=494985 And proxy support is one of them (although it's a specific one) http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16034 -- Felipe Contreras _______________________________________________ Gnome-bugsquad mailing list Gnome-bugsquad@... http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-bugsquad |

I need to position some Maildir stuff higher prio here than the rest. I would be closing them for GNOME 2.28.0 > > Corruption of mailbox and can't expunge trash > http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=550414 > This has been open for 10 months and there's still no fix. There have been multiple fixes, but unfortunate that its not completely fixed. There is surely lapse somewhere, that we need to close in. > > Evolution is unusable in 800x600 > http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267787 > I wonder whether this is simply a WONTFIX and covered by Anjal now. We probably need to position Anjal well. Its currently in gnome git. But need to see how to position both. -Srini. _______________________________________________ Gnome-bugsquad mailing list Gnome-bugsquad@... http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-bugsquad |
