Thanks, All, for your collective wisdom.

I'm thinking of taking advantage of the close-out prices on the Garmin 850,
which can be had for about $250.

The most important features for me are voice recognition and accurate spoken
directions.  

If the 850 is a mistake, please advise.

One poster mentioned a weatherproof container to put a unit on the bike.
Any more information on that?
