We have been developing our new 75ft unmanned blimp for a little over a year now. The ship is designed to lift broadcast quality camera systems such as FLIR and CineFlex gimbals for use in commercial applications for such events as NASCAR and PGA golf. As we where prepping the blimp for a demo flight for the ARC (aviation rules comity) that was formed by the FAA and the FBI in Quantico Virginia we had a hanger fire that destroyed the blimp. With the current down turn in the economy our current investors are forced to pull their support.

There is good news however, though we lost our 75ft blimp we did however get to demo our 60ft blimp (that we borrowed back from the University of Delaware) for the FAA ans the FBI. The FBI has expressed extreme interest in using our technology to provide them with aerial surveillance video over the events we wanted to film NASCAR being a very important event to them. We can easily accommodate the FBI and we can still provide the aerial coverage for the events. We have already done some demos for ESPN at NHRA events and again at their corporate headquarters in Bristol CT. Take a look at our web site at www.galaxyairships.com to see the footage. ESPN is ready to use our system at there sporting events provided we can get the clearance from the FAA witch the FBI has already agreed to help us on.

We are looking for investors to keep this project alive. Our current investors are looking to give up controlling interest in the company for anyone who will provide the backing to build another ship that would fit the profile that the FBI is asking for. IF there is anyone out there who is interested or knows someone who might be please contact me at 214-674-5658.
