Dear All,

For gaming solutions that are available now, AssisTech subscribers may wish
to checkout the following:

http://www.gimpgear.us/videogaming.htm

... not sure whether the solutions fall within the remit of most services ...
however it seems a useful web-address to be able to forward to interested
clients.

I have not dealt with GimpGear, so if anyone has tried any of their solutions -
or is aware of someone who has - then I would be interested to learn of the
experience.

Yours sincerely,

Hi
I'm supporting a student at Haringey sixth form centre. He has a
liberator 14 (communication aid) which he controls with a head mouse and
he has switch control of his powered chair.
I'm trying to get his Liberator 14 better mounted at the moment he has
(had actually) a Daessy pole I think. The mounting is rather basic, a
little large and not terribly well fixed.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any other mounting systems, perhaps
neater and easier for him to independently move out the way when he
doesn't need it.

Richard
Daessy offer very flexible options, but you might not have the best one.

Hi Richard,

We are hoping to evaluate:  http://www.rehadapt.de/en/index.php

A lot of the time I think custom manufacture of some components can make a big difference (our team does this for example) to getting things just right.  Not sure if you have access to such services where you are though?

Cheers

Simon
