Hi all,
I'm relatively new to JAI, and I'm trying to achieve "texturing" a 2D irregular shaped grid using an image (in order to "orthorectify" an image). I went through most of the JAI docs, especially the "Geometric Operations" part, where the Grid Warping functionality seemed to be my case. But after some tests, I noticed that resulting images were not filling up the grid as expected, but there were often "curves" joining adjacent grid nodes in the grid perimeter, instead of straight line segments. As an alternative, I thought of using affine transformation warping for each one of the triangles on the grid, but this seems much more difficult to code, let aside that it will be significally slower (I think).
So, is there a detail I'm missing about the grid warping functionality? Has anyone experimented with relative issues? Can you give me some useful directions?
Thanks in advnace
