Over on evolution-list we frequently get unsubscribe requests from
members who don't know to follow the mail.gnome.org link in the footer
of every mailing list posting. I've seen this on other lists as well.

Would it be possible to add a line to the footer to clarify what the
link is for and maybe help mitigate this problem?
>> Dear Stefan Walter,
>>
>> We've received an account request for:
>> * gnomecvs
>> As you are a maintainer, please approve or reject this account
>> request.
>
> However I cannot log into svn.gnome.org to retrieve my mango password:
>
>> $ ssh stefw@... mango
>> Permission denied (publickey).
>
> Is there another host that I should be using instead? My SSH key is
> setup and works with git.gnome.org and master.gnome.org. Neither of
> those have the 'mango' command on them:
>
>> $ ssh stefw@... mango
>> bash: mango: command not found
>
> Thanks for your help. I apologize if I'm missing something really
> obvious....
>>>> I can set it up for you, if you want. Piwik needs a database on a MySQL
>>>> probably comes down to trust (i.e. do you trust me enough to give me

Thanks! Really appreciated. Still haven't worked more on Mango, but now
I have something to implement :-)

> The should be pretty secure. I can't think of any vulnerabilities.
> >
> Well, I'm not using system() since it'd inherit the environment, which
> contains at least the IFS, PATH or PYTHONPATH environment variable. This
> can be a problem. So using exec() family, one can define the
> environment. So you might want to adapt this since you'll need a
> PYTHONPATH, I guess.

Shouldn't need PYTHONPATH. But would need another environment variable,
so appreciate that I can easily set it.
>
> The fake mango command would call the setuid mango (not setuid root!)
> script named:
> /usr/local/bin/mango-reset (or something)
}

>
> So I need a secure /usr/local/bin/mango-reset.c which checks which user
Haven't had a look at it.

Hi, I got my first account approval 'voucher needed' email today from
the Mango system. That is:

> Dear Stefan Walter,
>
> We've received an account request for:
> * gnomecvs
> As you are a maintainer, please approve or reject this account request.

> $ ssh stefw@... mango

I've fixed up most of the PHP warnings. The errors that are left are
mostly noise from "missing" favicon.ico and feed readers with old URLs.

Not sure why the access_log is so large, but I guess art.gnome.org
serves up a lot of files (thumbnails etc..).

space on gnome.org.

Looking at disk usage, out 64G or so of total space on the / partition,
big users are:

22G /usr/local/www/gnomeweb/
17G /usr/local/www/library-web
11G /var/log

Biggest culprits for log usage are:

2.0G /var/log/httpd/art.gnome.org/access_log

The error log is full of errors and warnings that hopefully can be
cleaned up?

But I concentrated on /usr/local/www/gnomeweb/ -

Two obvious places where space could be freed up:

1) The old devel-docs setup (build scripts that build a lot of the
GNOME stack from CVS to create tarballs of the devel docs)

In /usr/local/www/gnomeweb/devel-docs

I removed: cvs-2.0/ pserver-cvs-2.0/ install-2.0/
freeing up 3G, I left the gtk262/ tarballs-2.0/ directories.

2) The working directories for automated checkouts from svn

/usr/local/www/gnomeweb/svn-wd

Removed entirely. freeing up 3.4G

That gets us out of immediate critical mode and we now have about 10%
of space (6.4GB) free. Would appreciate help:

- Fixing the art.gnome.org logs

- Identifying more stuff under /usr/local/www/gnomeweb that can be
removed.

- Is there anything obvious to do to reduce disk space for
library.gnome.org? (If there's 17G of stuff there there is 17G of
stuff there and that's not that much disk space these days, but if
there's just waste, would be nice to clean it up.)

- Owen
Thanks for the bug report, but the sysadmin product in GNOME Bugzilla is for
bugs relating to GNOME's infrastructure.

You may want to file a bug in Gstreamer's bugzilla at
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=GStreamer and you'll probably
need to add more information than you did to this bug report.

Thanks.
