Gnome desktop wallpaper changer

Hi
I want to create an application that fetches wallpapers from websites like gnome-look.org, deviantart.com et al and sets the wallpapers as desktop background. I want this application to be integrated into the gnome control center.
Can anyone guide me so that the project sees daylight?
Any idea/collaboration/criticisms are most welcome.

Regards
Sumit Chakraborty

I'm not sure exactly what the best way would be (have you looked at the
other tries people mentioned in desktop-devel-list), but I think there
might be 2 ways, to start with:

* just get the latest wallpapers from whatever sites, and display them
along the local ones in the appearance capplet. That is, no user
intervention, it would just get the new background images automatically
when you start the capplet. Of course, this could mean the user ends up
with 1000s of wallpapers over time

* have a way for the user to configure which sites she wants, or maybe a
way to just download the ones he wants. For this, we'd need to be able
to browse the wallpapers, which I guess should also be done in the same
appearance capplet tab

So, any other idea?
