I've seen people talk about this but has anyone done it? And what kind
of problems should I expect?

Cheers,

Lloyd

Using a different window manager is just fine with GNUstep. However, you may miss some nice features like a Dock that integrates with GNUstep. I tried to make a list of features that a WM needs to integrate with GNUstep: http://wiki.gnustep.org/index.php/Window_manager

Actually, I was interested in using Nano-X in place of X11, not as a
window manager. It ONLY emulates Xlib which is part of the reason for
my question.

Basically I'm looking to build a small GUI system that DOESN'T use
X11.

Cheers,

Lloyd
