Hi,
I've been using
GpsDrive for a while (a couple of years) now, using maps downloaded from Google Maps following the instructions on the
GpsDrive wiki:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/gpsdrive/index.php?title=Creating_maps
and using the site it refers to:
http://gtm.tel.uva.es/ztep/maps/dmap.htmIt
all seems to work well, except that something seems to have changed
since the last time I downloaded some maps in 2008. Using the latest
development version of
GpsDrive on Ubuntu (Jaunty) the maps that I downloaded a few days ago do not seem to be recognised by
GpsDrive.
I have some clue as to why. The previous version complained about
too many digits (or something) in the map_koord.txt file, but the
current version does not. I've included a sample of my file in case
someone can spot something obviously wrong. The maps in the nz/
directory work fine, those in the si12 do not.
Any other suggestions? Have others been using that web site with no problems recently?
Thanks in advance,
John
