In fact, in configure.ac it checks which libsoup version it can find (2.4 for preference, otherwise 2.2). There is conditional code to handle both versions. This is because there is no libsoup2.4 for earlier versions of the Maemo platform, which I still want to support. I will close this bug (if anyone disagrees feel free to re-open it). P.S.
