GpsBabel & audio files for Garmin

Do you support the integration of audio mp3 files to GPX waypoints?  The intended end result is for IDEA.mp3 to be played when a particular GPS waypoint has been reached.  (Smiley.jpg can also be displayed)

The link element is valid in the current GPX schema version. 

The Garmin Tourguide software allows users to do this, but I was wondering of GpsBabel already has functionality to link waypoints with other multimedia assets such as MP3 or image files.

I searched the GpsBabel documentation but haven't found anything meaningful. 

Can somebody answer my question or point me to the right place?

No.  Though the lines are a little fuzzy in this case, GPSBabel primarly about converting geographic data, not multimedia content authoring.   We haven't reverse engineered those aspects of GPI.

If someone submitted a well thought-out patch to do it, I probably wouldn't reject it, but it's just not a priority for me to do it for the project.
