Hi Community,
Just an update on the status of Grails 1.2. As many of you know
already Grails 1.2 final is dependent on the release of Spring 3
final. Spring 3 has been put back slightly as of certain core members
of the team enjoying the wonderful event that is the birth of your
first child.
Nevertheless the result is Grails 1.2 will likely not see the light of
day until end of November. This means we are changing the release plan
according. So this week there will be a Grails 1.2 M4 release so that
users can try out the new features and benefit from the work we have
done so far on what was to be RC1.
Once Spring 3 final is out then Grails 1.2 RC1 will hit the streets.
In addition we are going to do Grails 1.1.2 at the end of November so
as to backport certain key fixes to that branch of Grails.
