Hi,
I was sitting watching Danny so I decided to make up a poem about racing greyhounds.
Sorry if its a bit say. :(

Wild and free

The hound within me,
runs wild and free.
Like a bird he soars,
always free.
That dog within me,
runs wild and free.

His next big race,
he was sure to win.
But he hit the ground,
all in a spin.
He begged and begged,
but no joy he found
Sadly he was carted off,
to the local pound.

The hound within me,
runs wild and free.
Like a bird he soars,
always free.
That dog within me,
runs wild and free.

In the pound he spent a night,
Cold,hurt and afraid.
No one there to make it alright,
On the bare stone he laid.
This is the greyhounds plight.

The hound within me,
runs wild and free.
Like a bird he soars,
always free.
That dog within me,
runs wild and free

By Becky

I hope you all like it!!!

Love Becky xxxxxxx

You can pick up all sorts of steps with good grips on the top, (from toilet training steps to folding caravan-sized ones).

Raw red meat contains a lot of fat which is not good but ok in very small amounts mixed with a complete dog food.

Tripe is a good thing to try and make them eat and it is good for them. If not try tinned butchers tripe and then slowly introduce them to different things.

Details

Date: Sunday 6th September
Time: 2.30pm

The walk takes approx 1-1 1/2 hours on flat-ish gravel woodland paths and some field paths. For those people who did this walk last time, we are cutting out the long part on the busy part of the cycle path and going across the field onto a much quieter path.

Meet at the car park on the WEST BOUND side of A689. The car park is signed as Wynyard Woodland Park. Post code TS22 5NW for sat nav-ers

Instructions...
Coming from A1(M) - junction 60

Take A689 East signed to Hartlepool and Teesside.

1st roundabout (with A177 to Sedgefield and Coxhoe) go straight on (signed A689 Teesside)

2nd roundabout (at Little Chef/Total Garage roundabout) take A689 to Hartlepool and Wynyard- 1st exit

Stay on A689 for about 3 miles, going past ugly coloured column on opposite side of the carrigeway and wind turbines.

There is a brown tourist sign to Wynyard Woodland Park before the bridge. You turn right, across the carrigeway, just before a blue and yellow pedestrian bridge over the road.

That turn can be a bit scary if it's busy, so I usually carry on the A689 and do a U turn at the next roundabout 1.2 miles further down the road. Then drive 1.2 miles back and turn left (just after the bridge).

Coming from A19
Take A689 West towards Wynyard, Sedgefield (and possibly Bishop Auckland)

1st roundabout with Wynyard Business Park, go straight on A689

2nd roundabout with Wynyard village, go straight on A689 (signed Durham A1M, Sedgefield)

After about 1.2 miles there is a left turn into the car park, signposted with a brown tourist sign. The turn is just after a pedestrian bridge over the road, painted blue and yellow, before the bus stop.

If anyone needs my mobile number in case of getting lost etc please drop me an email.

Have I missed out anything?

One of mine will eat anything, the other can be a bit picky. Similar to what Michelle has said, mine usually get dry kibble with some cooked meat or fish or scrambled egg scraps. Also often some bolied rice and veg mixed in and less kibble.

Fussy boy Rufus sometimes turns his nose up. Find pouring some water from a tuna can over it works a trick - or let Hope eat his for seconds and funnily enough, he usually eats his next meal :)

The strap- either cord, webbing or made of fabric

The outside- needs to be fairly hardwearing

The lining - needs to be thin, something like polycotton?

I shortened Jon's jeans the other day and have kept the scraps. I've made bags of felt and corduroy so far.
